- Said to some MAC user in here:
- >Oh, yes, I see-you're an avid Democrat.
- >Well, yes, that explains it. No substance, no ideas-just complain about why
- >the others are wrong, and that you're right by default.
- >It's behavior like that which has put the Democratic party into the minority.

- And it's people who go to Rush Limbaugh for well-rounded, non-biased
- news on current events and politics that have have made us a mess. I think
- that it's realy funny that you accuse the Dems of no substance and ideas when
- it's the GOP that has been the master of the deceptive 10 second soundbite. If
- the GOP plans for the enviroment, health and safety laws (which they
- sneak in as riders to other totally unreleated bills so that no public
- hearings or debate need be called) among others were realy looked into and
- discussed the uproar would be really huge. Yeah, the GOP's slogans
- really do sound great in many cases, but try looking deeper to see what they
- really mean by them (usually just nice wording for selling out us to give a
- quick buck to their campaign contributors). That said, the Democrats did get
- too settled in and comfortable and not prepared enough to make certain hard
- choices and Clinton really is a rather slick, almost a pathological waffler
- until the last few months, but the new Newt GOP is far worse and far dirtier
- even if they don't waffle. All they are about is a mad sell- out to a few rich
- campaign contributors (who they even let write for them the congerssional
- bills that directly effect them). Anyway, this doesn't belong here.

- To sneak back on topic, hopefully the whole VISCorp buyout will work out.
